About 40 people were arrested by Immigration and customs app (ICE) officers after being run over Martha’s Vineayard and Nantucket Tuesday.
In the vineyard of Martha, Ice Agents working with the FBI, the administration of the US drug application, the alcohol office, tobacco, firearms and the explosives and the United States Coast Guard saw traffic stalls in non -marked vehicles on May 27, the Masslive Member partner, reported the vineyard newsletter. A video shared on social media showed a masked officer who spoke with a driver in a L&R electric service van.
Thiago Alves, owner of Rhode Island’s L&R services, confirmed to the newspaper that one of his workers was stopped by ice and FBI agents. His employee, who said he has a green card, was questioned, then was released.
“My boys questioned in search of formalities,” Alves said.
Alns also stopped other commercial workers on the island, according to Alves, said Alves in The Gazette.

A woman from Vineayard de Martha, who asked to be anonymous for fear of retaliation, told La Gaceta that he saw multiple traffic stops and arrests by Federal Police while officers who led Vineayard Haven on Tuesday morning.
“They only took the people from the cars,” he said.
In Nantucket, it was seen that several people took off the island through a US Costera Guard cutter at the handles, Masslive’s Middle Member, The consultant and the mirror, reported Tuesday.
The Nantucket Police Department was aware that the operation would be done, but did not help federal agents in any way, said Lieutenant Angus Macvicar on Tuesday.
