‘Wear rubber boots’: Brimfield Flea Market remains open despite flooding

As the rain went through Brimfield, the vendors and the buyers of the flea market were surrounded by water.

But that does not stop the show.

“Bring rubber boots and you’ll be fine,” suggested a person for Friday’s purchases.

The Brimfield flea market began on May 13 and lasts until May 18. It is open from 8 to 17 hours daily.

The event is made with the rain or the shine. And it is not rare that the rain is trying to cushion a day of shopping.

Many sellers stated that rainwater had begun to leave on Thursday night. But it could still be muddy.

It is expected that Friday purchasing hours will be dry. However, more rain could return on Friday night, according to the National Meteorological Service.

On Saturday there is another opportunity for showers and storms. But most of the day says Sunday is dry.
