Ukraine-Russia war latest: Europe and Trump issue ultimatum to Putin for 30-day ceasefire, Kremlin hits back

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he and U.S. President Donald Trump now share a “common view” and back “immediate, full and unconditional fire break.”

Writing on X, earlier Twitter, g. Zelensky said that his conversation with Mr. Trump on Saturday was “Share Joint View: Direct, full and unconditional cease for at least 30 days. Mondays. Waiting for the Putin’s answer.”

He added: “This proposal is on the table of talks in Saudi Arabia, when they first brought him into the United States. Once he interrupted fire, he would be the best time to diplomacy. Ukraine is ready for meetings and negotiations in any format”.

The President Special Envoy Donald Trump broke with the protocol without hiring his own translator at meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin, NBC News.

Steve Witkoff, who negotiated the end of the war in Ukraine, allegedly met with Mr. Putin in Moscow on 11. February, 13. March, and 11. April and “used their translators,” Western officials said.

Mr. Witkoff does not speak Russian and former US ambassadors for NBCs who are, using Mr. Putin’s interpreters, could not check the interpretation.

However, the White House responded to reports that said Mr. Witkoff “adheres to all security protocols in the Coordination with the State Department.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said his hopes for a 30-day unconditional agreement on trucmas that arranged the United States and European people on Saturday.

He has published on X: “Today in Kiev, we have an important format, an important meeting and a significant signal in the other peace and in Ukraine, and not only with their friends, partners and leaders from other online participating countries.

“We talked about the emergency steps needed for safe peace, and our tifnerest outcome is clearly united. We have agreed that it lasts on Monday, 12. May. We require it from Russia, and we know that now support us in this effort.

The “unconditional ceasefire means exactly – without the condition. Any attempt to express the condition would be an effort to extend the war and disrupt diplomatic progress. The application must be a comprehensive country, and in the air.”

Kremlin accused European countries on Saturday that they reported configurable and confrontation statements, the news agency of Interfax, after the European leaders supported a 30-day recircciliary fire in Ukraine and threatened Russia “massive” sanctions.

“We hear many contradictory statements from Europe. They are generally confrontation, and not intended to try to revive our relationships. Nothing more,” Kremlin spokesman is quoted.

The US Special Envoy in Ukraine Keith Kellogg believes that the comprehensive cease of fire in 30 days will begin the process for completing the war of Russia against Ukraine.

Commenting on the post of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, wrote on the social media platform X: “Comprehensive (air, land, sea, infrastructure) cease a fire for 30 days to start a process for completing the largest and longest war in Europe since World War II.

“How the president said several times, stop killing now.”

Starter Star Tarmer is asked. Does he think that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants peace.

“There is only one country that started this illegal conflict and it was Russia and there is only one country that stands between peace and that is Russia,” said Starmer.

He says the unity of the unconditional firm of fire “biggest” we have ever had.

Zelensky says the unconditional truce is needed to complete the war.

When asked by a journalist if it is time for European soldiers in the field, he decided to thank Germany for the Patriot and other air defense missiles instead.

He refused to speak publicly about the amount of air support, but said that Ukraine relies on help.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk says there are current sanctions, adding that “that it was not a sanction, the situation would be comparable to Gora.”

“Russia is actively waiting for sanctions to be raised,” he told reporters to ask questions.

Strengthening sanctions will receive results, but requires “patience and unity”, he added.
