A man from Brockton was arrested and charged on Thursday in connection with a dagger incident, according to West Bridgewater’s Police Department.
Mario Babbs, 38, was accused of attempted murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and battery and battery, according to a statement from the Department.
The stabbing occurred on May 8 at 23 hours
West Bridgewater police responded to a Spring Street house after receiving two 911 calls that they report that a man was severely bleeding from his neck.
Once they arrived, the officers found a 36 -year -old Bridgewater East man with a towel around his neck trying to control his bleeding. The man was led by ambulance at the Boston Medical Center. Its state is unknown.
Through an investigation, police determined that there was an altercation at home, where several people who knew each other met. Babbs is charged with a bedroom forced in a bedroom and stabbing the 36 -year -old “several times on his head and neck,” said police.
Babbs is accused of running from the house, but was found nearby in a wooded area by West Bridgewater Police Officer, Richard Flaherty and K-9 Fedor.
He was taken in pre -trial detention without incident and brought to the Boston Medical Center, while in remand. Babbs was then taken to the West Bridgewater Police Department for reservation.
