Kamala Harris says Trump has ‘paralyzed America’ in first major speech since election loss


Former Vice President and Democratic Presidential candidate has been relatively quiet since he lost the presidency in Trump in November

In his first speech since he left office earlier this year, Ex -president Kamala Harris pluck President Donald Trump former 100 days ago in the White House, Partly saying that the President was “paralyzing” the North -American companies with his fare policy.

Harris made a strong reproach of many of Trump’s aggressive policies during his second stage at the Oval Office as he spoke at the America emerges gala in San Francisco Wednesday night.

“President Trump and his administration and his allies have the idea that fear can be contagious. They have the idea that if they are afraid of some people, they will have a frightening effect on others,” said Harris. “But what they overlook, what they have overlooked is that fear is not the only thing that is contagious.”

Harris’s speech coincided with the end of Trump’s first 100 days in office, a point of reference that is considered the first report card for a new president. Harris attracted attention to Trump’s massive fare policies and his perceiving the deployment of federal courts, but also emphasized the individuals and institutions that have been put on the Trump plant despite increasing the remuneration threats of the White House.

“The North -Americans who speak to say that it is not good to violate court orders, it is not good, saying that it is not good to detain and disappear North -American citizens or no one without due process,” Harris said.

“The courage of the judges to defend the rule of law before those who imprison them, of universities that challenge the unconstitutional demands that threaten the pursuit of truth and academic independence,” he continued.

With Harris just one day after Trump his first rally since the campaign in Michigan, the two former candidates apparently returned to the campaign mode, with Harris who has played a candidacy for the governor of California In recent weeks.

Harris at a moment during the speech alluded to a recent survey of New York Times/Siena, who asked the respondents which word they would use to describe the first 100 days of Trump, with 66% of the respondents who describe them as “chaotic”.

“Some people describe what has happened in recent months as absolute chaos. And, of course, I understand why, and it is true that these rates, rates that, as I predicted, clearly invite a recession. But friends, please, do not let ourselves think that everything is chaos,” said Harris.

Harris has remained largely out of the audience since he left office, while still relatively well surveyed in terms of the 2028 democratic candidacy for the president.

Harris has not given any indication that he would look for the presidency again.
