A legendary Mexican regional band has met again after separating -a few years ago.
The Horoscopos de Durango have met and will perform in a Los Angeles program on July 18, exclusively said the Vicky and Marisol Terrazas sisters Rolling Stone. The band will also perform in Arena CDMX in Mexico City on August 23.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of when Los Horoscopos de Durango originally formed. Also four years have passed since the group dissolved, so Vicky could focus on being a mother for the first time and Marisol could pursue a solo career.
“It is a legacy and a trajectory that deserves to be celebrated. The effort, the work, the love we have put in this well -deserved recognition,” Vicky told Rolling Stone. “So we said,” We get together and do something nice. “We want to celebrate it.”
The Horoscopos de Durango was formed by Armando Terrazas (Vicky and Marisol’s father) in Chicago in 1975. After starting as a Grupero group, the group changed later in the Duranguense style when the genre became more popular. Vicky and Mariso directed the band from 2003 to the group Split in 2021.
Durango’s horoscopes are Rolling Stone previously reported. The 2002 single, “Before Senilla”, has turned viral in recent years, and is presented to more than 39,000 videos Tiktok Sun.
“It is so iconic to see new generations discovering us due to trends, but also because of their parents and grandparents,” Marisol told Rolling Stone.
“All these new platforms did not exist when Duranguense existed,” he added. “I think if it had existed 20 years ago, maybe I would have opened doors like now.”
Most of Durango’s Horoscopos music consists of covers, however, and like other bands of Duranguense, the group has found ways to modernize these tracks. Some of the most popular covers of Durango’s Horoscopos include an interpretation of adventure “obsession” and “two locos” by Monchy and Alexandra.
Durango’s horoscopes have launched more than a dozen albums, including Latin Grammy Award Winner The projects “Yesterday, today and always” and “Unleashed”. The band plans to re -release their 2010 band album, “La Güera i la Morena”, in streaming services, as well as other new songs.
“We separated four years ago, but the people continued to support and listen to our music. They were the ones who kept the legacy,” Vicky told Rolling Stone. “We have achieved a lot and sometimes we hear that we do not see it, but we really did it.”
“It was really difficult for people to accept me, without her,” Marisol added. “But it’s good to come back, because we’ll always stay together. Now we’re back.
Durango’s horoscopes are planning to announce more shows as part of The Golden Tour de la Banda: formerly Death than Simple (“The Golden Tour”), according to Rolling Stone.
Tickets for the Los Angeles program will be on sale at 10 am on Friday. A previous sale will take place the day before also at 10 am PST.
