Marion police arrest boarding school employee accused of exposing himself to students



Marion police detained a boarding school cooking worker on Wednesday after the students informed them that he had been exposed to the school before the day.

Bedford’s new resident Joao Andrade, 38, faces two opening and dirty misery charges in relation to the incident, said Marion police in a statement.

Marion police received a call from Tabor Academy Shortly before noon on Wednesday, the department said. Two students reported that a kitchen worker had exposed them while they were in the school dining room.

The officers investigated the incident and arrested Andrade, according to police. It is expected to be presented on Thursday.

“We appreciate the reports and cooperation of the Tabor Academy after this incident,” said Marion police chief Richard Nighelli in the statement.

Andrade was an employee of Flik Independent School Dining – Tabor Academy’s Food Service, said the school In a statement about the incident. He is now forbidden to enter the school enclosure.

“We thank the students who denounced this behavior and congratulate them on their courage for us.

It is not clear if Andrade continues to work with Flik. The food service provider did not respond immediately to a comment request on Wednesday evening.
