Romero did not say guilty and was ordered by a $ 100,000 cash bail for Judge Margaret F. Albertson.
Noah Greany, from Mattapoisett, was the 26 -year -old pedestrian killed on January 12.
Greany had just left the Dunkin on Southampton Street to Andrew Square at 9.20 in the morning and went home.

“His heat, sense of humor and generosity made him the guy you wanted to be around. His presence could illuminate a room and his affectionate nature left a lasting impression on all those who were lucky to shout,” he wrote his loved ones.
Greany was a consultant at the Hayden Consulting Group de Boston and obtained two degrees from the North University -East: one in cellular and molecular biology and a master’s degree in bioinformatics company.
In January, his mother said that his family would never understand why Greyy was “so soon.”
“And I don’t think ever, we will never know why it was taken so soon,” said Marie Lambalot Greany to Boston Globe.
“Obviously I needed to be elsewhere. And someday, we hope we can understand,” he said.
Romero’s likely hearing was scheduled for May 2.
