Manchester, New Hampshire – Denver’s goalkeeper Matt Davis has been a headline of Jonah in the title of Boston College as the number 1 seed in consecutive tournaments of the NCAA.
Calgary’s unrecognized senior, Alberta, left out 35 shots when the reigning national champion pioneers defeated the Eagles 3-1 in the regional final of the NCAA Manchester on Sunday night at Snhu Arena.
Davis recorded 26 savings in Denver’s 2-0 victory over BC in last year’s championship at the Energy Center chcel of St. Paul, minn. Sophomore Zeev Buium’s defender, the region’s prominent player, closed the game with an empty net with 4.4 seconds to play.
“Matt has played quite well against us,” said BC coach Greg Brown. “It was not a lack of traits that is safe and they are a very good team defensively, so it is difficult to get quality features.
“We were able to generate possibilities and get dust on the net and it was very good tonight.”
Denver improved until 31-11-1, advanced until its 20th Frozen Four, six in the last eight seasons and will be released by a 11th record national championship. Denver will face the west of Michigan in the semi -final Four Four on April 10 at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Mo., on April 10. The University of Boston will assume Penn State in the other semifinal.
BC closed the season 27-8-2.
“I am very proud of our team and it was a very good hockey game of both ways,” said David Carle, Denver coach. “It is very difficult to end the season of the same team twice in a row and obviously we got the best game of Boston College.”
BC has 10 NHL elements with three first rounds on the list and there is a strong possibility for several key players to report to their respective professional teams this week.
The Hockey East player of the year and the highest scorer Ryan Leonard was the first round of capital in 2023, while Linemate Gabe Pereault went to the Rangers in the first round of the same year. The first -year defender, Dean Letourneau, was Boston’s first election in 2024, and the Bruins have many question marks on the blue line next season.
The goalkeeper Jacob Fowler, a finalist for the Richter Award, was the third round of Canadiens in 2023, while the first -year center of the front line, James Hagens, is a selection of 5 first places at the NHL Superdraft of 2025. The Ombudsman of Sophomore Drew Fortesce was the third round of Rangers in 2023.
BC also has three seniors and two graduated students included in the Captain of the Eamon Powell team, a defender of the first Hockey East team who played in a record of 170 games.
“I’ll start this (turning the page) tomorrow,” Brown said. “I am sure we will have guys and it will be sad to lose these seniors and graduates.”
BC is known as a skating team and from Finesse, but the Eagles left from the initial face and fell their bodies throughout the ice. The pioneers retaliated furiously during a wild neckline that broke out in Davis’s fold at 5:36 and gave rise to a BC goal turned off.
Denver took place at the end of the period and reached the advantage of 1-0 at 18:19. Ombudsman Eric Pohlkamp shot a hard wrist shot from the high slot through traffic that passed the side of the Fowler Top Stick shelf for his eleventh of the season. “They definitely tried to play physicist in the first and tried to put a little under our skin,” said Denver’s captain Carter King. “I think entering the first intermission we were able to regroup.”
Denver advanced 2-0 in a lucky goal at 2:59 on the second. Ombudsman Zeev Buium, who had a goal and two assists in the victory of the 5-1 pioneers on providence, controlled the shit in the blue and made a side pass to Reeder to the left point. Reeder advanced to the top of the circle and shot a punch that beat Fowler 5 for his eleventh of the season.
BC got a great break when the Buium 8:21 goal was disabled when the reproduction showed that the play was offside. BC got the 2-1 in a breakdown goal on the left wing Teddy Stiga with: 53 seconds remaining in the second. Southbury’s first student beat Davis with a side through 5 holes for his 14th place of the season.
“He made a great movement and overcome me the 5-Formed I like,” said Davis.
