The Toronto S Peopres scored three goals in just over six minutes and four goals in the third period, to complete a victory of the comeback on the Boston fleet in an agganis Arena exhausted on Wednesday evening.
The loss of regulation marks the end of the Boston’s nine games, with the last loss of regulation of the fleet against Toronto on February 14.
Daryl Watts directed the way to Toronto with two goals in the period, while Renata Fast scored the winner of the game for the Suers. Hilary Knight scored both goals for the fleet, with Alina Müller and Susanna Tapani, collecting attendance in both scores.
Knight’s first goal gave the fleet the advantage of 1-0 at the end of the first period, and Boston kept this advantage until the third. Watts picked up his first at night at 4:07, drawing the game at 1-1, after banking the goalkeeper of the Aerin Frankel fleet behind the net.
“I think some turns in a row could not take the blow, ends at the back of our network. It is from below the goal line, a kind of Frankel blows and goes to the net,” said Courtney Kessel, a fleet coach. “It’s a bit unfortunate, but you can never make a change in this league. Nothing can happen in this league so you have to show all the shifts.”
Less than two minutes later, Hayley Scamurra put Toronto ahead 2-1 with his first goal of the season. Continuing the impulse, Fast gave the Sreers a two -goal lead at 10:16 with what would be the winner of the game.
Knight scored its 15th of the season for Boston’s final goal to reduce Toronto’s leadership to 3-2 with seven minutes to play.
But Watts sealed the victory 4-2 for Toronto with a power goal three minutes later. Watts’ goal came for a minute at a 5-3 opportunity for Séspriders, as Megan Keller and Jessica Digirolamo de Boston took penalties to hold and shake, respectively, at the same time in the third period.
Toronto goalkeeper, Kristen Campbell, won 28 savings in 30 shots, while Frankel recorded 23 savings in 27 shots in loss.
Boston will play in the final game of PWHL tour and the third of the fleet, on Saturday against the Ottawa load at 14:00 et at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis.
“We can trust everyone in this room. It’s just critical plays to pick up a stick here, to cover it there, find us in the box when we don’t have to be, just like that,” Knight said. “Obviously, it is a game of minimizing mistakes and returning to the drawing box and we look forward to St. Louis at the moment.”
