Mass. pastry chef’s ‘Spring Baking Championship’ debut is full-circle moment


Local pastry chef Lisa Clark recalls the exact moment when he learned he was chosen to compete in his first Network of food show.

So Clark returned to Pastry School and enrolled in Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Portland, Oregon.

He then worked as a pastry chef at a farm restaurant at the table for several years. Later, Clark moved to Massachusetts with her husband and finally gave birth to her daughter, who will be four years in May.

Clark also continues his eleventh year as an executive pastry chef in Peppers Artful Events. Clark Recognitions include the best celebration of the National Ia Catie Awards in 2019, as well as the best dessert in both the fork and the Nashoba competitions.

Despite being a decorated baker, Clark said he felt “incredibly nervous” during his time at the Spring Baked Championship, adding that “the anxiety of letting my loved ones be loved and myself always present.”

Clark also pushed his limits, as he felt more comfortable in the kitchen and the challenges of the show were more unexpected. This allowed him to especially show his stunning skills decorated by cakes.
