The Essex County prosecutors moved to a criminal charge against a Lynn teenager on Friday, who was charged with pushing his brother during a fight.
Zeneyda Barrera, 18, originally from Nicaragua, was arrested by Lynn police after a neighbor complained about a disturbance of the noise at 4:30 pm on Monday. After talking to Barrera, her mother and 12 -year -old, police learned that Barrera pushed her brother on the floor during an argument on a cellphone, according to Barrera’s prosecutor Patrick Callahan.
Barrera faced a single assault and battery charge. She was detained by federal immigration officials and customs execution in the Lynn district court before his demand.
Remains in a Cumberland County, the Maine prison, The Boston Globe reported. Barrera’s lawyer, Patrick Callahan, could not immediately comment on the prosecutors’ decision to dismiss the positions.
He told the Globe that he expected federal officials to release barrier from custody.
“We just have to wait and see if the ice will do the right one,” he told the starting.
The district prosecution could not be reached immediately to comment.
