55 minutes: Manchester holds good possessions. But what should they do?
48 min: You have to feel for Keating. A couple of mistakes when playing from the back proved Manchester City. How will the 2023/24 Golden Globe winner respond?
THE END! Manchester City 2-4 Juventus (Toone, 46)
What a prodigious purpose. Keating takes off the ball from the kick and lands a poor touch straight away with effort. Her clearance bounces off a Manchester United player before falling into the path of Ella Toone who puts the ball into the net for her second.
45 minutes: We are back under the road and what???

how beautiful I am
Half time: Manchester City 2-3 Juventus
That was half of it. I’m still catching my breath.
Manchester United got out of the blocks much faster than Manchester City in the first half hour or so. City looked at the ball sloppily and took it away more than once.
Manchester United’s third goal seemed to rouse the city though. Growing confidence, the home side pulled back through Miedema’s head. Then a few minutes later, with a new signing, Knaak headed them into the game.
All the elements are second to the tantalizing medium.
THE END! Manchester City 2-3 Juventus (Knaak, 45+3)
Game on! Manchester City win a corner which is whipped into the back post. New signing Rebecca Knaak towers over all the others and heads back across the finish line for Tullis-Joyce.
45 minutes: Confidence is growing in the city. Fujino, who was a threat all game, plays a legendary one-two with Jessica Park in front of the ball in the backcourt. Tullis-Joyce’s head is well preserved.
43 minutes: Miedema has an eye on it now. She gets the ball on the edge of the court and before hitting it, she gently rolls it. Although it is straight to Phallon Tullis-Joyce.
THE END! Manchester City 1-3 Juventus (Miedema, 40)
Man City are back in this one! Maria Fowler makes a brilliant move down the right, beating a full back step before whipping a delightful ball into the path of Miedema. The city did not make a mistake when it was completed and brought back heads in this one house.
THE END! Manchester City 0-3 Juventus (Toone, 35).
Oh no! By conceding the second proposal he knocked Keating’s confidence. Again he tries to play from the back, forcing his defenders. City lose it and the ball falls to Ella Toone, who has the simple task of hitting the ball into the net. City could not have started this game more seriously.
34 min: Keating gives the ball back. United receive a pass from the young goalkeeper and suddenly Terland is through the goal. The manager, however, lacks composure, and gets fired up at the bar.
32 minutes; Manchester City are taking pop hits now. Maria Fowler has to go from 20 yards, but her effort is just wide of the post.
28 minutes: That medium was proposed by Vivianne Miedema’s story. Playing with his back to goal, he holds off a defender before rolling the ball to Fujino. Penner tries a curling right into the top corner but it’s just wide.
26 minutes: Keating takes too long on the ball as he drives the ball from behind. Bizet closes it down and plays the ball for Terland. The Norway international can’t make more of it, though, as he recycles the ball into Manchester United’s midfield.
24 min: Gareth Taylor looks sleepy on the sidelines. The city of Manchester did not expect this.
THE END! Manchester City 0-2 Juventus (Galton, 20)
That second. The opposite side took the ball in from a corner and after two ricochets the ball fell to Galton. He just made no mistake, putting the ball into the net from two yards out.
17 minutes: Juventus is by far the most dangerous. Celin Bizet receives the ball on the right and measures Elisabeth Terland’s cross in the back. A puncher hits him on the fly, but he takes a deflection and lands on Keating’s gloves.
THE END! Manchester City 0-1 Juventus (Toone, 13)
This is nothing more than Juventus deserve. Ella Toone, playing in her 10th Man derby, gets the opener.
The city gave the ball away from the kick. Manchester United do well to pick the ball up in midfield and within two yards, Hinata Miyazawa plays a floor through ball into the path of Ella Toone who lifts it over the onrushing Khiara Keating.
12 minutes: It was almost 1-0. Leah Galton, who started the game brightly, has the strength of Yui Hasegawa’s past as if it is not there. During the goal, the Manchester United forward breaks the ball into the side of the net.
8 minutes: Fujino saw the ball very well on the right. A crushing battle unfolds between Manchester City and Manchester United full back Gabrielle George.
4 minutes: Manchester City are finally getting a break in this game. Aoba Fujino advances down the right before passing the ball inside to Jessica Park. But at last it came to nothing.
kick off
1 minute: We’re off to the Etihad Stadium. Manchester United were immediately on the front foot, scoring within a short time of the first stoppage time. This is a foreboding sign for the home side.
There is a moment of silence for former Manchester City player Tony Book and Manchester United and Manchester man Denis Law. Both of whom died in the past week.

Speaking to Sky Sports before the game, Gareth Taylor cited “maybe the ankle” as the reason why Chloe Kelly is out of the Manchester City squad. No comment on loan money to Manchester United.
Speaking before the evening game, Manchester United manager Marc Skinner said: “What I want from these games, in basic language, is that I don’t want regrets from the players. You won’t regret it – don’t go in and be afraid, then lament that you didn’t win.

There is also added spice to the tie, with the teams meeting again three days later in the League Cup quarter-finals. “It’s a difficult tie to draw in the League Cup and it’s a journey but it can be done,” said City manager Gareth Taylor. “To win some competition to do it for you. It’s a good challenge for us.”
Even outside of transfer fraud, derby night is an attractive business. Suzanne Wrack read the preview below.
In particular, Chloe Kelly is from the Manchester City team. An international meeting of England’s association with Manchester has been held since last summer. The latest news is that the forward, who is out of contract at the end of the season, could join United on loan for the rest of his salary.
Speaking ahead of today’s game, Manchester City manager Gareth Taylor said: “Chloe is here at this club. What happened to me and the team in the past, we have a good history together. While he is here, he is regarded and valued the same as any other player. Whether he plays or not, it’s part of what we do.

The beginning
Hello and welcome to minute-by-minute coverage of the 10th Manchester Derby in Women’s Super League history. The stakes are high for both teams, especially after Chelsea’s 5-0 win over West Ham earlier this month. A loss in either side could put the title beyond the friendly stage.
Manchester City sit in second place but have lost two of their last three WSL matches. Gareth Taylor’s side are also without star players Khadija Shaw, Lauren Hemp and Alex Greenwood. Chloe Kelly, who has been largely restricted from this season, is unlikely to play amid transfer interest from Manchester United.
Juventus are not far behind their turbulent neighbors in fourth place. Marc Skinner’s side have the best defensive record in the league (conceding just three goals) but will need to deliver more if they are to win the WSL for the first time from City. They are without Evie Rabjohn and Lisa Naalsund through injury and Brazilian striker Geyse who has been given some personal time off.
