BOSTON – Frederic Trent waited until Bruins he had a considerable lead before trying to make up for Emil Lilleberg’s injury blow Marc Kastelic

But soon after the Bruins pulled ahead 4-0 in the second period, Frederic square with defenseman Lightling to fight just inside Tampa’s blue line.

Frederic, who hit Corey Perry earlier this month, he got through a bout that wasn’t all that one-sided, but was decisive. After falling under two early wild right hands from Lilleberg, Frederic started landing shots. After Lilleberg’s helmet came off, Frederic landed an uppercut to the jaw, a right hook to the ear and another uppercut to the face.

In Tampa’s win over the Bruins on Thursday, Lilleberg crossed Kastelic in the mouth with 2.5 seconds left in the game. The two immediately fought, but the Boston forward staggered out of the altercation and was helped off the ice by teammates.

The Bruins were angry about the exchange after the game, making it inevitable that someone would challenge Lilleberg. With Kastelic out, Frederic took over the task.
