Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, Delays Premiere of Netflix Show Because of Wildfires


Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, has delayed the premiere of her new Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan,” because of the wildfires in California, the streaming service said in a statement on Friday. Sunday.

“With Love, Meghan” is hosted and created by Meghan, who cooks, gardens and landscapes with different guests in “exciting the beauty of Southern California.” The show is set to premiere on Wednesday.

According to NetflixMeghan requested that the show’s release be pushed to March 4 because of “the ongoing damage from the Los Angeles forest.”

“I thank my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the release, as we focus on the needs of those affected by the wildfires in my state California,” Meghan said in a statement.

The fire, which broke out on Tuesday, has killed at least 24 peopledisplaced thousands of people and destroyed entire communities.

On Friday, Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, meet with survivors and emergency medical personnel in Pasadena, where the Eaton fire burned in the mountains north of the city, scorching more than 13,000 acres.

The couple moved to California in 2020 and settled in Montecito, about a 90-minute drive north of Los Angeles.

All eight episodes of “With Love, Meghan” were filmed in Montecito, respectively for Netflixand featured Meghan hosting, cooking for and chatting with many famous friends, including Mindy Kaling, Alice Waters, Roy Choi and her “Suits” co-star Abigail Spencer.
