Ryan Garcia says he doesn’t understand why Bill Haney is pushing WADA to be the drug testing agency for a rematch with Devin Haney. Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) questions whether people get “some kind of cut money for using VADA.“
Garcia rejects VADA
Ryan says he will “never” use VADA again. That means if there is a rematch between him and Devin (31-0, 15 KOs), a different drug testing organization will have to be used.
If Bill insists on WADA alone, his son could miss out on a lucrative rematch with Ryan. Devin claims it’s the “biggest fight” in boxing today. However, a rematch may not occur unless a different drug testing agency is used.
It shouldn’t matter to Bill which agency he uses. As long as there’s testing, that’s important, especially if he’s worried about Devin getting beat up again. He looked bad as hell when he last fought Ryan in 2024.
That would be bad for Hannay because he is a vulnerable fighter with a chin problem, and sooner or later he will be beaten by a less popular fighter than Kingry when he faces someone decent.
“It’s getting really weird why it’s always VADA.” Can we get some other organizations to test. Because you have Bill (Haney) pushing only WADA. He never says any other organizations, and it’s strange (that) he pushes a particular organization. Don’t you just want any testing? All of this sounds like the people who are in favor of using VADA are getting some kind of money in terms of money to get people to use VADA. It seems unethical. This is just my opinion,” said Ryan Garcia Ks about wondering why Bill Haney is pushing so hard for VADA to be used for a rematch between him and Devin Haney.
“I’m clean, but I will never use that organization again,” Ryan said of how he will never use VADA again.
