in 2025 Golden Globes The ceremony takes place tonight (Sunday 5 January) with a star-studded line-up from the UK Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Cynthia Erivo and Kate Winslet together for the top awards Timothée ChalametNicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie and Colman Domingo.
The candidates were announced on December 9: a divisive musical crime comedy Emilia Perez leads the pack with 10 nominations, while Hulu’s Bear dominates the TV categories.
Other films vying for trophies include the hit musical WickedSean Baker’s Palme d’Or winner Anora and Brady Corbett’s epic drama Brutalistwhich was declared a “masterpiece” after the festival premiere.
Stand-up Comedian Nikki Glaser makes history as the first woman solo host Golden Globes. Her appointment comes after Jo Koy became host at the last minute in 2024. delivering widely regarded performance.
Award ceremony will be broadcast on CBSand US audiences can stream the show on Paramount+. There is no official channel to watch the ceremony in the UK.

Nikki Glaser maybe he’s getting ready for the many jokes he’ll tell during the course Golden Globes 2025but there is one recent event she chooses not to mention.
The comedian and actress recently admitted in an interview with Yahoo Entertainment that while he may be grilling celebrities during the awards show on January 5, he doesn’t plan to reveal anything about the relationship Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.
“I think Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni is such a big thing right now that even mentioning it will make it seem like I might be on the wrong side of things, even though I never would be,” she told output.
“I also don’t want to say his name… I’m pissed that I even know his name, to be honest, so I don’t have to say it anymore.”

Can Nikki Glaser be the new Ricky Gervais and give Hollywood the roasting it deserves?
Last May, Nikki Glaser went up against the greatest quarterback in American football history and became a star in the process. Even comedy greats were impressed by Glaser’s roasting of Tom Brady.
“Nobody’s going to do a better set roast than that,” Conan O’Brien told her, adding that all future roasts would be measured against it. “Where is that on the Nikki Glaser scale? ‘It’s 6.2.’ That’s pretty good, but it’s not her 10.”

Five-time Golden Globes host Ricky Gervais revealed to kick off his monologue that Nikki Glaser has a job this year, writing on social media:
