Jeremy Renner shared a touching post on its second anniversary near death snowplow accident.
In January 2023, the 53-year-old Marvel actor was helping clear snow from his nephew’s driveway when crushed by a large seven-ton snow plow. He was airlifted to hospital, where he was treated for serious injuries, including a a collapsed lung and more than 30 broken bones.
Earlier this year, Renner’s The mayor of Kingstown colleague Michael Beach, said the actor “actually died” after his heart stopped beating following a serious incident.
“Ring in my second ‘ReBirthday’ today,” Renner captioned an Instagram post on Thursday (January 1).
“Sending my love, respect and gratitude to the army of people it took to put me back together. Thank you to every nurse, doctor, first responder… I literally owe you my life.”
He shared the caption alongside a picture of himself in a hospital gown, covered in bruises and medical equipment, and surrounded by staff.
“With all my heart, I go to my beautiful, brave nephew and the angels (my neighbors) who came to my aid and endured the chaos of 45 long minutes on the icy asphalt of New Year’s morning,” he continued. “I’m so sorry [for] all the haunting images I’ve imprinted on you all (I’ll spare you all the meat-grinding images).”

Renner said his list of thanks was “very long” as he thanked his loved ones and supporters for their well wishes during his recovery process.
“With the amount of love and prayers that have poured in from you all over the world (needing each and every one of them), my family has never left me, with some divine intervention, a little luck and a lot of miracles, I stand strong again.”
“More open. More Loved. More connected. And freaking BLESSED to take my next step, to take my NEXT BREATH. I thank you with every fiber and cell in my body. I love you ALL.”
Support came in for the actor as Fatal attraction star Glenn Close wrote a particularly touching message in the comments: “You are a rare and beautiful man, walking through our broken world as one who has been monstrously broken himself.
“You have a powerful heart and are making a profound difference in the lives of so many people. EVERYTHING revolves around love. HAPPY NEW YEAR, dear Jeremy.”
