Ange Postecoglou is not ready to write off Tottenham’s Premier League campaign but still dropped more points on Sunday.
They were held by the spurs 2-2 draw at home to Wolves after conceding with three minutes in the afternoon another difficult left which saw the fate of Udogie the last player to limp.
With Rodrigo Bentancur also recently booked and serving a one-match ban when they visit Newcastle on Saturday, Tottenham could be without 10 players. However, Postecoglou will not give up hope of being able to climb the table during some crucial cup fixtures in January.
“It is also quite tight. I just feel that at some point a healthy squad will be obtained and when we do that, we will be able to consistently perform at a high level,” insisted Postecoglou. to the first bit I can see how hard they are trying and if we were at our sharpest we would have that third end and maybe a fourth.
“I mean, sometimes we were on our toes not to get the finish that we needed, and we think we just lacked a little bit of that dynamic movement that we needed. A lot of these guys find some form of industry to still be out there, but we certainly don’t know that we’re as stingy as we are.
Given the efforts of the players during a hectic December, Postecoglou has given the squad a Monday and Tuesday fixture ahead of this weekend’s Newcastle, but again suggested they need reinforcements in the January transfer window.
Postecoglou added: “Yes, he always thought. Knowing that this is the first week where we don’t have a midweek game, so I think probably the whole group needs a couple of days just to take it all off and recover.

“It’s quite intense for a real small core of players, especially for four or five weeks, and I think it’s good for them to have a couple of days with their families and give them the opportunity to recover mentally rather than physically.
“I want you to go on. I know there is work to be done and try to get some help for these players. Our job is to try everything and give them what we can, the support we can provide in the best possible way.”
