At 3:19 a.m. Friday, the National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Saturday from 4 a.m. to 1 p.m. for North Worcester and South Worcester, as well as in Franklin, Middlesex, Essex, Hampshire and Hampden counties.
The weather service describes: “Freezing rain expected. Full ice accumulation around a light glaze.”
“Very slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are possible, which could lead to hazardous travel conditions,” the weather service says. “Slow down and use caution while traveling.”
