Ruben Amorim has said he knows his job will be at risk if Manchester United does not stop the panic on the lips and the supporters have acknowledged the “fed up” of the team’s failures. Amorim said he was very aware of the volatile state of the administration and decided to rise to the pressure.

Asked about the challenge of hosting Newcastle on Monday after a 3-0 loss at home to Bournemouth in the previous match at Old Trafford, Amorim added: “We are fighting against everything because our supporters are always there, but they are tired of this moment.
