The affected lot was sold on Publixaccording to a statement from the grocery chain.
The warning comes after a customer called to complain about “foreign material” he saw inside the container. The company later determined the “material” was “fungal in nature,” according to their recall statement.
The company believes the contamination is “isolated to a single unit that was returned by a customer,” Alcona spokesman Steven Smith said NBC News.
