can achieve”cold as ice” in the western region of New York where original Foreigner leader Lou Gramm grew up.
Fortunately, that likely won’t be the case on Aug. 1, when Gramm is ready to give what he can his last ever concert northeast at Batavia Downs Gaming in Batavia, New York, a short drive from where he was born in Rochester.
Gramm, known for singing such iconic hits as “Cold as Ice,” “hot blooded,” “Juke Box Hero” and “It feels like the first time” said the Rochester-based radio station WROC that the August show will be his last hometown show before he retires.
“I’m trying to play it out in my head, what it’s going to be like. I know I’ve got a lot of things in my life that have been kind of neglected, and I’d like to get back into some things that I’ve had to put aside because of my music career and explore those few options again,” Gramm told the radio station.
Gramm was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Foreigner in October of this year, although he was unhappy with the song they ended up selecting to play.
But will this really be for the Foreigner frontman?
Gramm actually said that 2024 would be his last year on tour. He would too hinted at something similar in 2018.
Tickets for the Batavia show are available at Eventbrite. Front row tickets are on sale for $75, and general admission for $20.
