Tiger Woods and his teenage son Charlie finished the first day of the PNC Championship in a three-way tie for first place with a 13-under 59.
Teams Langer and Singh, who both shot 59s, are tied with Team Woods, and golf’s legendary family manages five straight birdies down the stretch in OrlandoFlorida.
The PNC event is Tiger’s first competition since back surgery in September; his sixth in 10 years.
After the round, Tiger told reporters: “It’s a scramble, so we’re trying to make every shot for each other, both ham and egg, and I think we did a great job of that all day.
“Charlie made most of the shots today.”
Charlie added: “I didn’t hit it well, but dad saved me on a couple of them and I put them in.”
