It seemed as if Teoscar Hernández was going to return to the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2025 after spending last season with the club and winning a World Series. But the Dodgers have begun to explore other options.

Hernandez has attracted the interest of other teams, including the Boston Red Soxwho also had a lot of interest in the slugger last year. At one point, Hernandez was believed to be at the top of the Red Sox roster if Juan Soto signed elsewhere. He signed with the New York Mets earlier this month.
During an appearance at the “Flippin’ Bats” in February, Hernandez revealed that he was between the Dodgers and the Red Sox sooner rather than later signed a one-year, $23.5 million contract with Los Angeles.
“We were trying to get more years in Boston. The only years they offered were two,” he said. “Like I said, the best chance and the best chance I had to get a good deal was the Dodgers. … I can’t lie about that. I was really excited because they showed a lot of interest. But they didn’t come with a good offer, so I had to decide to go elsewhere.”
It’s unclear if the Red Sox would give Hernandez the reported three-year deal, but the two-time All-Star has plenty of hitting success at Fenway Park by slashing .282/.344/.606 with a .950 OPS. , 14 home runs and 44 RBIs.
