The Pope Francis men’s hockey team had another memorable season. In March, under interim coach Daniel Fenton, they fell one game short of competing in the Division I state quarterfinals. The Cardinals were led by a trio of athletes recognized in the 58th I love the Twin Committee awards ceremony earlier this year.
Jacob Jarrell shared the “Overall MVP” award along with West Springfield’s Owen Hall, while Jake Petrin and Zachary Buffone also shared the “Top Forward” and “Top Defenseman” awards with other deserving athletes from the region.
