Hello The children’s health and schools bill was published today and, as Saint Weale reports, plans to restrict children to be educated at home in England.
The publication coincides with the sentencing of 10-year-old Sara Sharif – her father and stepmother – following a trial that details one of the most horrific cases of child cruelty heard by a British court in years. Sarah was taken out of school, and in the months before her death was educated at home, although the teachers began to notice that she was being attacked at home, and therefore the law – although she thought well before the trial, addresses one. Sharif emphasized the need to protect the densi.
Bridget Phillipsonthe secretary of education gave interviews this morning. He told the current program:
Too many children have failed the government in recent years and it is clear that this is what is needed. So he learned no more lessons, no more words. Today, we are introducing our plans to ensure that those organizations work together and have much greater visibility of where children are and what they are experiencing in life.
But in interviews, Phillipson also said the government was not considering child-sending laws in England – although it was banned in Scotland and Wales, and although the government had publicly indicated a rethink was on the cards.
In 2022, as the leader of the opposition, Keir Starmer He said he would see the ban extended to England. We are not about to focus on the laws. I want to look at the experience in Wales and Scotland where they have passed laws to understand what the effect has been.
And he asked why the government in England did not implement the ban, he told the Radio Times;
Because what I want to understand is the impact and effect of the legislation in Wales. First, the review will look at the effects and effects of the legislation that they had introduced.
