European Super League promoter asks Uefa and Fifa for official approval | European Super League

European Super League promoter Uefa and Fifa have been contacted to seek official recognition of the new competition. The original Super League was launched with 12 European clubs – including the Premier League’s “Big Six” – in April 2011 but he quickly collapsed between the disagreements and oppositions of continental and global governing bodies.

A22, the promoter wants the Unify Alliance rebrand to be approved. Uefa felt that it had abused its dominant position in the obstacle to the first establishment of the competition in 2021, and took the matter to court. The European Court of Justice (ECJ) ruled last December that UEFA used old official rules to ban the Super League. they were against EU law.

Uefa’s rules have been corrected before the trial and it believes it is now compliant with EU law. The ECJ said that the rules governing the new competition power are necessary to be transparent, objective, non-discriminatory and proportionate, which A22 claimed victory.

Premier League clubs have officially distanced themselves from joining the Super League in the wake of the ECJ ruling, but A22 chief executive Bernd Reichart said in April that he had held direct talks with English top-flight clubs when the ruling was handed over.
