More than 2 million Stanley cups are being retired after dozens of consumers reported suffering burns related to a malfunctioning lid. Here is a list of safe ones Stanleys you can buy
The recall includes Stanley Switchback and Trigger Action stainless steel travel mugs sold nationwide in a variety of colors and 12-, 16- and 20-ounce sizes. The cups were sold at Amazon, Walmart, Dick’s Sporting Goods, objective and other retailers from June 2016 to December 2024.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commissionthe lids of these cups can shrink when exposed to heat and steam, causing them to detach during use and pose a burn threat.
