The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory at 2:12 a.m. Sunday for Hampden County from 1 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday.
“A mix of light snow and light freezing rain/freezing sleet. Total snow accumulation a dusting to 1′ and ice accumulations of a light glaze,” may be likely according to the weather service. “The main concern is light rain and freezing rain leading to icy roads for the Monday morning commute. This includes the Hartford and Springfield metro areas. Temperatures should rise above freezing Monday by evening”.
“Plan on slippery road conditions for the Monday morning commute,” the weather service says. “Slow down and use caution while traveling.”
