The Celtics will be almost at full strength as they take on the Wizards on Sunday at 6pm in Washington DC for their next game. Only one player is on the injury report as Al Horford is out for rest.
This means the Celtics return Jayson Tatumwho missed the Pistons’ win on Thursday. The injury didn’t appear serious, according to C’s coach Joe Mazzulla, as it looked more like a maintenance and rest day to give Tatum a full week off during the season. Sam Hauser (back) and Jaden Springer (illness) also missed out the Pistons’ victoryand since they aren’t on the injury report, they should both be back as well.

With Horford out, expect some of the other big men to get an extra run. Kristaps Porzingis will continue to play as a looking to regain his strength after surgical rehabilitation. Boys like it Luke Cornet or Neemias Queta could also get a few more minutes with Horford sitting for a rest day.
The Celtics bring their record 20-5 into the game while the Wizards are 3-20. Fortunately, Washington snapped its 16-game losing streak in a surprise win over the Nuggets. But the Wizards have struggled this season amid a rebuilding year.
Interestingly, this is the third time in the last three months that the Celtics have played the Wizards at Capital One Arena.
