Man city after record revenues but profits drop
Manchester City posted record revenue in recent seasons but profit from the previous 12 months fell, the club’s annual report revealed. In 2023/24, revenue increased from £712.8m to £715m for the year to 30 June in the City’s fourth consecutive win. Supreme League title
But profits dipped from £80.4m in the City season to £73.8m last season, with a drop in radio revenue due to Pep Guardiola’s side being let down in the Champions League final. City’s budget includes a £300million expansion of the Etihad Stadium.
The club’s chairman, Khaldoon Al Mubarak, said: “Our constant ambition to attack and perform is an unprecedented sign of the organization that we have been. Our focus remains on further development and growth and therefore value creation in all aspects of our business.
City council are awaiting more than 100 charges of alleged breaches of financial regulations brought against them by the Premier League, of which only a brief mention was made in the financial report. The club denied the charges.

The beginning
The 2026 World Cup The first lineup will be 48 teams, and 16 of them will come from Europe. Friday’s draw in Zurich will determine the Uefa qualifying groups – 12 in total – with Thomas Tuchel unveiling the path he has to lead England to the finals. Its parts are in pot one, Wales in pot two, Scotland in pot three alongside Northern Ireland and Ireland. That draw is due at 11am (GMT) today.
Elsewhere there are many press conferences such as the Supreme League It continues this weekend. Liverpool’s new signings Eddie Howe and Arne Slot are both speaking this morning, with Ange Postecoglou, Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta coming later.
