The National Weather Service issued a high wind advisory at 1:16 a.m. Wednesday in effect from 3 p.m. until 1 a.m. Thursday for Middlesex, Essex and Norfolk counties.
The weather service says, “South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph are expected.”
“Damaging winds will bring down trees and power lines. Power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles,” the weather service explains. “Stay in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive.”
