A man was fatally shot in Dorchester Monday night, police said.
Boston Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation at 114 Devon St. around 10:24 p.m. Monday, Sgt. said Detective John Boyle, the department’s chief spokesman. When officers arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Boyle said.
An investigation into the shooting is “very active” as of Tuesday morning, Boyle said.
Devon Street returns to the Lila Frederick School parking lot on Columbia Road.
No further information was immediately available Tuesday morning.
