Players choose six numbers from two different sets of numbers (five different numbers from 1 to 70 and one number from 1 to 25) or select Easy Pick. A player wins the jackpot by matching six winning numbers in a draw.
Jackpot winners can choose between receiving 30 annual payouts, each five percent higher than the last, or a lump sum payout.
Mega Millions drawings are on Tuesdays and Fridays and are offered in 45 states, Washington DC and the US Virgin Islands. Tickets are $2 each.
