Sam Hallam, who will be the coach of the Swedish team, was asked about the decision not to include Lindholm, although he added Jonas Brodin, who is also on the injured reserve.

It is not clear if he meant that they had more information about Lindholm or Brodin.
When that injury occurred, former Bruins coach Jim Montgomery said Lindholm would be out for “weeks.” And he said not to ask him about it the following week because there wouldn’t be an update so soon.

But the Bruins haven’t budged from that assessment when interim coach Joe Sacco what would be the best case scenario for Lindholm on Friday.
“He’s still out for weeks,” he said. “That’s what I’ve been told. It’s still week-to-week. That’s probably the best way to put it.”
