The bipartisan uproar over Joe Biden’s pardon of his son Hunter obscures the facts surrounding Hunter Biden’s conviction. He was convicted on nine federal tax charges involving $1.4 million in federal taxes on up to $20 million in income from his “business dealings” with Chinese and Ukrainian entities.
Many less protected men go to prison for much less. And Hunter was not convicted of drug abuse, but of lying on his application to purchase a firearm while an active drug abuser. Many less protected men are going to prison for this exact crime.
That Joe Biden claims that Hunter was unfairly prosecuted flies in the face of these facts.
