Amy Adams said she would like to dance Taylor Swift‘s publicist in the biopic for a very relevant reason – it could mean that Adams could get closer to Swift.
In response to a 2019 post on X that read: “Amy Adams will win an Oscar for the Tree Paine biopic” if she ever played Swift’s publicist Tree Paine, Enchanted the actor said the idea of casting fans sounded “so much fun.”
“That would be amazing,” Adams said during an appearance on the The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
“That would be so much fun. I mean… if it brought me closer Taylorthen that would be fun.”
Adams went on to describe how she recently became a Swiftie, saying that while she’s always “liked and appreciated her,” it wasn’t until after she attended Eras tour a concert that she completely transformed.
“I always loved her music and appreciated her, and then I went to Eras Tour – my friend had a ticket – and then at 50 I became a Swiftie,” she said.

“I’m a 50-year-old Swiftie, so I’m like a changeable 50 Swiftie… And I’m like ‘Isn’t that cool?’ And now my daughter is like, ‘Ooh, I hate this because of you.'”

Adams also shared that she ended up at the after party singing “What’s Going On?” with Swift during karaoke.
“Maybe I sang it a little loud,” Adams said. “And I’m sure everyone was like, ‘Amy, shut up. We want to hear Taylor sing… So I should have sat down and let Taylor sing.”
Adams will be seen next in the Night bitchadapted from the popular novel by Rachel Yoder and directed by Marielle Heller, whose previous credits include Diary of a teenage girl, Can you ever forgive me? and A beautiful day in the neighborhood.

The book follows an unnamed woman who, after giving birth, is forced to stay at home while raising her child. Due to the wild nature of motherhood, Adams’ character begins to develop strange new habits, such as walking on all fours and eating directly from a bowl, leading her to conclude that she is turning into a dog.
The trailer, which was released days before the film’s premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), was branded “terrible” by fans of the book who complained that the film’s comedic tone seemed at odds with its darker aspects stories.
The film received middling reviews, although viewers pointed out that the film was not as bad as the trailer made it out to be and that it received rave reviews for Adams’ performance.
Night bitch will be released in US theaters on December 6.
