On Saturday night, November 30, at ACKS1 Studios in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the main event of Swift Promotions Tale of Garcia 4 was a short boxing match, as Quincey “Quiet Storm” Williams stopped Kevin Beltran Aguirre in the first round.
It was a short work night for Williams, as getting to know the fighters probably took longer than the match itself. Inside the squared circle, Williams was relaxed and composed as he patiently set up a stoppage.
The main event capped off another successful show promoted by former two-division world champion Danny Garcia’s company Swift Promotions. Since its official launch in June 2024, Danny Garcia and Swift Promotions President Mike Farrell have provided a platform that has given young talented boxers more opportunities to showcase their skills.
Washington product Quincy Williams had a decorated amateur career as he was a 7-time National Champion and 2022 Golden Gloves National Champion. He made his professional debut back in January 2024 when he landed a left to the body to stop Wilfred Petit in the third round.
Williams won three more bouts, then signed with Swift Promotions in late October. On the night of November 30th, undefeated rookie sensation Quincy “Quiet Storm” Williams was set to headline Swift Promotions’ Tale of Garcia 4.
As the bell rang to officially start the first round, 21-year-old welterweight Quincey Williams came out and immediately established his striking. His opponent, Kevin Beltran Aguirre, applied the pressure as he repeatedly tried to press forward and land a big right hand.
Williams landed a good left hook and then became a boxer fighting off the front foot. Williams continued to land a left to the body and a right to the head. Aguirre looked for a way to avoid the attack, but Williams did a great job cutting the hoop.
It soon became target practice as Quincy Williams consistently threw in lefts and right-handed punches. Williams would then land a right, then a left to the body, then a left to the head. After being hit with a left uppercut, Aguirre fell to the canvas, but two body shots had already done most of the damage.
As the referee watched Aguirre on his knees throbbing in pain, he began to count, and before he reached ten, he decided to stop the contest. Although it was short, Quincy Williams looked very impressive as he recorded a stoppage in the first round to improve his record to (5-0, 5 KO).
